The slatted-wood changing cubicles at Pulse Club

Getting started

I've never done this before — is it for me?

Absolutely. Pulse Club is built to be welcoming and inclusive, whether you come alone or with a friend, and whether you want a silent session or a social one. Go at your own pace — you don’t need to last long in either the heat or the cold to feel the benefit, and our team are always happy to talk you through it.

What actually happens in a session?

Sessions run for 75 minutes. In most sessions you move between our sauna and the cold plunges as you choose and at your own pace. The sessions are designed to give you enough time for 3–4 rounds moving between the heat and the cold, with time to rest in between. We also run silent, social, women’s-only, sleep-reset and bring-a-friend sessions — you’ll find them all on the timetable.

Do I have to get in the cold plunge?

Not at all. The cold is where a lot of the magic happens, but you’re always in control — ease in, keep it brief, or skip it altogether. Even short, regular dips count. Here’s what the science says.

Your visit

What do I need to bring?

Just swimwear. We provide towels, and you’re welcome to bring flip-flops and a water bottle. Everything else is taken care of.

What’s provided on site?

Towels are included, and there are showers, lockers and changing rooms at both clubs. You will be able to freshen up afterwards before heading off.

How hot is the sauna, and how cold are the plunges?

At each venue we have one large traditional Finnish sauna with an electric heater that sits between 80–90°C. There are four cold plunges with crystal-clear water chilled to between 3 and 10°C.

Where are your clubs, and when are you open?

We have two clubs in south-west London. Fulham is at 340 North End Road, SW6 1NB, a short walk from Fulham Broadway. Putney is at 228 Upper Richmond Road, SW15 6TG, a short walk from both Putney and East Putney stations. Both open 7am–9pm daily, with a later 11:30am start on Wednesdays in Fulham and Tuesdays in Putney.

How early should I arrive?

Please arrive no earlier than 5 minutes before your scheduled session is due to begin. This gives you plenty of time to check in, and for us to answer any questions you might have.

Booking & pricing

How do I book?

Everything is booked online through our timetable — pick your club, choose a session and you’re in. You can book Fulham here or Putney here, or download our app to book on the go.

What does it cost?

The best way to start is our intro offer: 3 sessions for £39. After that, single sessions are £17 off-peak (before 5pm on weekdays) and £22 peak (after 5pm and at weekends). For regulars, Flex memberships start at £45 a month and our Founder membership is £99 — with no contracts, ever. Compare memberships.

Can I cancel or reschedule a session?

Yes — you can manage your bookings through the app or your account. You can cancel for a full refund up to 2 days before your booking. If you need to reschedule within 2 days of a booking, please email fulham@pulseclubsauna.com or putney@pulseclubsauna.com.

Do you offer gift vouchers?

A session at Pulse Club makes a lovely gift. There’s an option when buying a package to gift it to somebody. If you’d like a physical voucher, please email fulham@pulseclubsauna.com or putney@pulseclubsauna.com.

Is there an app?

Yes. You can book sessions, manage your membership and see the timetable from our app, available on the App Store and Google Play.

Health & safety

Is sauna and cold plunging safe?

For most healthy people, contrast therapy is well tolerated. That said, heat and cold are a genuine stress on the body — so if you’re pregnant, have a heart condition or high blood pressure, or any other health concern, please check with your doctor before starting, and stop if anything ever feels wrong in a session.

How often should I come?

Regularity is where the benefits really show. A weekly habit is a great place to start, and many members come more often. Read more on the science.

Is there a minimum age?

The minimum age is 16 years old.

Sauna etiquette: the do’s and don’ts

What are the do’s and don’ts?

A few simple things keep the space good for everyone:

  • Do leave outdoor shoes at reception.
  • Do shower every time before you use the cold plunge.
  • Do sit on a towel in the sauna.
  • Do ask before putting water on the heater stones, and pour it slowly, one ladle at a time.
  • Do keep voices low and appropriate — no conversation in silent sessions.
  • Do move at your own pace and rehydrate between rounds.
  • Do give others space and respect their quiet.
  • Do wear swimwear at all times.
  • Don’t arrive any earlier than 5 minutes before your session starts.
  • Don’t bring phones into the sauna or plunge areas.
  • Don’t put oils, salts or anything else on the sauna heater.
  • Don’t worry if you’re new — just ask our team anything.
